The course is targeted at beginners or novices in the ART field who are looking to develop their skills further in this area. Trainees should be Science Graduate, and with some familiarity with Basic Laboratory Procedures. A minimum requirement of basic working English is required. This course is ideal for Medical Students and Science Graduates Looking to Enter the Field of Infertility.
Curriculum
Methodology of Training
A balanced approach of theory and practice to build your clinical confidence.
Interactive Basic sessions covering :
- Semen collection, delivery and method of collection.
- Initial & Macroscopic Examination.
- Microscopic examination for count & motility.
- Morphology estimation according to WHO & Kruger's strict criterion.
- Advanced tests like, Hypo Osmotic Swelling Test, Reactive Oxygen Species, DNA Fragmentation, Vital Staining, and Fructose estimation.
- Optional test like sperm chromatin assay, estimation of Zinc, anti sperm antibodies etc.
- Sperm preparation techniques.
Guided Hands on Training In:
- Physiological & macroscopic examination with Clinical applications.
- Microscopic estimation for count, motility.
- Morphology estimation according to WHO & Kruger's strict criteria.
- Advanced tests like hypo osmotic swelling test, vital staining & Fructose estimation Cryopreservation of sperm.
- Sperm preparation techniques.
